Screening, Brief Intervention, And Referral to Treatment (SBIRT): A Universal Approach for Early Detection and Intervention for Mental Health and Substance Use

1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
SBIRT is an evidence-based approach to supporting individuals who may be at risk of consequences related to their substance use behavior. SBIRT supports universal screening for substance use and mental health conditions. We recommend participating in this training if you or your agency are interested in coordinating universal screening for individuals to improve health outcomes and increase opportunities for early intervention.
This training will provide an overview of each aspect of SBIRT as well as a discussion on how to effectively provide a brief intervention and planning out referrals for services.
