SBIRT

Introduction

Substance Use affects client/patient outcomes and can be the elephant in the room, which causes resistance or non-compliance affecting overall health and wellbeing. The Screening, Brief Intervention and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT) encourages honest and outright conversations about stigmatized topics and can lead to a positive therapeutic relationship opening a gateway to treatment.
